Followership has been recognized in academic discussion but has just begun to find its way into business. For research to be relevant for practitioners, the contruscts explored in academic investigations need to tally with the lived experieces of everyday working life. Especially follower behavior is of interest as it is the visible manifestation of followership. Based on a systematic literature review and a qualitative study with 40 narrative interviews, future research fields could be identified to make future research even more valuable for practitioners.
